'The Wedding Singer' at the Stephen Joseph Theatre

I am pleased to inform you that this year the school's major annual production is the musical ‘The Wedding Singer'. Performances are at 7.30pm from Wednesday 8th - Saturday 11th February at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, on Westborough.

Information Advice and Guidance Day - 20th February

Please find attached a letter regarding the Information Advice and Guidance Day to be held at Scalby School on 20 February for all students from 12 noon – 6pm. Students are not expected to wear uniform for their meeting. Please note that school transport will not operate on that day.

Praising Stars reports coming home this week

The 3rd Praising Stars' report of this academic year or the 2nd if your child is in Year 7,  will be coming home with your child this week. If he/she is not in school then the report will be sent home to you via the post.

As winter is closing in, I felt it timely to remind you of our arrangements in the event of bad weather. Firstly, whatever the weather conditions, please assume that the school will be open as normal.

Pupil Premium - additional funding for schools

I write regarding one of the implications of the recently published Government White Paper, namely changes to funding for schools via a ‘Pupil Premium’. For each student registered for a Free School Meal, schools will receive an additional £430 per student. The premium will rise to £2000 per student within three years.
