Please help get Ellie into the charts!

On Valentines day 2010, one of our students, Ellie Othick-Bowmaker died from a brain tumour.

During her three year battle with cancer, Ellie and her friends raised over £25,000 for the charities that had helped her. She truly was an inspiration!.

In March this year, the Music department at Scalby School decided to record a song to raise money for Ellie's chosen charities.

We have just uploaded the video to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/thescalbyschool

We're proud of it, and we're proud of Ellie!

We need everyone's help!

The song goes on sale on 5th July on iTunes and Amazon. Please encourage as many people as you can to buy it - let's get Ellie into the top 40!

Every penny raised through the sale of this song goes to charities that support the families of children living with cancer; and research into the causes and treatments of childhood cancer.

We have some ideas and downloads to help spread the word on our VLE http://www.scalbylearning.co.uk/blogs/4/24062010/help-get-ellie-charts.html

We need everyone's help to get the message out there so enough people buy the single in it's first week of release.

Please forward this email on to as many people you can.

We have also attached a posted to this email and would really appreciate it if you could put it up anywhere you are able to.

We hope getting Ellie into the charts will not only be a fitting tribute to such a remarkable girl, but will also help raise awareness of brain tumour research along with much needed funds for such an important charity.

Thank you for your support, and don't foget to tune in to the charts on Sunday 11th July to see if Ellie made it!
