The Scalby ‘Success’ magazine seeks to acknowledge and celebrate what we do at Scalby School.  What is different about it is that it was researched and designed by our students in a single day as part of their GCSE Journalism studies.

The students worked with the company ‘Words and Pictures’ http://www.wordsandpicseducation.co.uk/  who were so impressed with the standard of their work that they returned to the school to make a film about it.

Headteacher Mr Read said "I am pleased  to present this short film produced by Words & Pictures in conjunction with our students. We decided that who better to design our school magazine than our students? To this end, a GCSE Journalism group worked with Words & Pictures to conceive, research and produce a promotional magazine aimed at primary school children. It was all done in a day and I am sure you will agree, the finished product is superb. Most importantly, it provided our students with a real educational opportunity to work with professionals and create something meaningful."
